It’s a joy to dine at a places where the staff are clearly having a blast and the food is as creative as it is at enVie. Everything is made from scratch using only organic ingredients sourced locally (as often as possible) in the creation of mains like “The Doug Burger” named for the neighborhood cat. It’s a black bean patty with greens, caramelized onion, and pickles with tangy mayo inside a sesame seed bun. For a pasta choice, the roasted squash tortellini with artichoke and cashew puree, sherry gel, and parsnip milk is a standout. The desserts are especially tempting. The baklava is phyllo wrapped cheesecake with orange blossom pistachios and candied lime. On weekends, there’s a special brunch menu.
