A basic but clean hostel with a cool and cozy décor aimed at young backpackers who want to have some fun (they even have an under-50-only policy). Mixed-sex dorms of varying sizes are available, along with private rooms and en suites. It has a roof terrace with an indoor and outdoor space for hanging out and meeting like-minded travelers. Parties are occasionally held here, so it may not be the place it to come if you're looking for a quiet spot. However, it's ideal if you want to experience the cool, young, hip side of the city.

The hostel is located in the heart of the Karaköy port area, which is in a state of rapid renewal that is replacing its old workshops and small-scale factories with trendy cafes, restaurants, bars, and galleries. This is the place where local hipsters come to see and be seen, and they have colonized this historically industrial neighborhood in their skinny jeans and oversized glasses. Whether or not you like this gentrification, it offers an insight into a side of Istanbul you won't see in Sultanahmet, or even in the bars around Istiklal Caddesi. In this quarter, young designers, developers, architects, and artists sit outside, drinking their macchiatos in the day and mojitos at night. But for now, traces of the old Karaköy are still present, creating an interesting convergence of past and future Istanbul.
