This is a good-quality kebab restaurant that has gained an elevated status because of its location (next to the Spice Bazaar) and view (across the Golden Horn towards Galata Tower). It has become incredibly popular with tourists and locals, so it's advisable to make a reservation, and make sure to request a table by the window so you can fully appreciate that view. Some visitors find the service a little pushy and it's wise to double-check your bill. If any unordered dishes arrive, send them back as they may not be as complimentary as they seem. All that being said, the food here is very good. Originating from the Urfa province, the eponymous chef/owner first opened a kebab counter on the corner of the parking lot next to the adjacent Yeni Camii (New Mosque). When that gained a reputation, he was able to build on his success by purchasing this well-located building. Try the spicy Urfa kebab or the pistachio variety. It's advisable to save some room for the restaurant's renowned baklava or decidedly decadent katmer (a flaky pastry with pistachio paste and clotted cream).
