A tour is expensive, but there is a bonus. The Rivero family that owns the bodega has amassed an extraordinary private collection of Spanish art from the 14th to the 19th centuries. It includes paintings by Velázquez, Zurbarán, and Goya, as well as the Surrender of Granada by Pradilla Ortiz, and the wonderfully roguish Bandolero Torero (Bullfight Bandit) by Jiménez Aranda. Once you’ve completed the 90-minute tour and tasting you can take a glass of sublime old Pedro Ximénez into the gallery and peruse the art at your leisure—a rare glimpse into the privileged world of sherry aristocracy.
