The Laramie Plains Museum, 603 Ivinson Ave. (tel. 307/742-4448; www.laramiemuseum.org), is housed in a gorgeous three-story Queen Anne Victorian home built by Laramie settler Edward Ivinson, with furnishings from the 1890s. Admission is $10 adults, $7 seniors, and $5 students (free for kids 5 and under). The Wyoming Children's Museum and Nature Center, 968 N. 9th St. (tel. 307/745-6332), has enough things to keep kids busy, including a frontier general store where children can handle items and do face painting. Admission is $3 children 4 to 12 ($1 for those 3 and under) and $2 adults.
