Restaurants in Limon

Dining options are pretty limited in Limón. The restaurant at the Park Hotel is reliable, but try to sample the local staple pati, a fried dough concoction that is stuffed with a slightly spicy ground meat filling. You’ll find pati vendors all over downtown Limón, including at the iconic Soda El Patty (tel. 2798-3407), on the corner of Avenida 5 and Calle 7.

If you’re looking for a panoramic view, head to Red Snapper (www.redsnappercr.com; tel. 2758-7613), which are located near each other up on El Resbalón, the highest point in town, near all the city’s cellphone towers. It serves traditional local fare and fresh seafood, and occasionally offers up live music on weekend nights.
