Located in the medieval center of Loches, this charming hotel was a postal relay station until the mid–19th century. In 1932, three floors were added, converting it into an inn. Though the rooms have been upgraded and redecorated, the place keeps its classic provincial charm. The quietest rooms overlook the courtyard; however, the front rooms might be preferred for their balconies. This atmosphere is carried over into the excellent quality and value of the restaurant; guests and day-trippers can dine in the graceful dining room or in the peaceful paradise of the verdant courtyard (menus 18€–55€).
