Suggested by pretty much every hotel manager within a walkable radius since it opened in 1977, North Sea Fish scratches the fish-and-chips itch in a table-serving setting. Expect a dignified fish market-cum-restaurant hidden on a lost-in-time side street. Portions are huge, and there’s always a selection of 10 varieties of fresh fish (sole, salmon, halibut, and so on). If you need a healthier option, you can also get your dish grilled, and if someone in your group isn’t so hooked on fish, the menu also has a few burgers of various types and meat pies. Try the terrific homemade tartar sauce, or, for fans of little fishies, sample grilled sardines with salad.
