They can only serve light meals here, but it’s still worth a detour: a gourmet coffee cafe in an underground men’s toilet. The facilities had been abandoned for 50 years and the conversion was so artful you might not realize it at first: Eight elaborate Victorian porcelain urinals are now eight individual coffee-drinking bays, and an overhead water reservoir became a lovely planter. Beans are roasted at Caravan and brewed in a La Rarzacco machine. If you’re hungry, try the sea salt caramel brownies or bacon on sourdough with tarragon butter.
