There aren't many fine-dining options in the Lower Keys, with the exception of the Dining Room at Little Palm Island, MM 285, Little Torch Key (tel. 305/872-2551), where you'll be wowed with gourmet French Caribbean fare that looks like a meal but tastes like a vacation. You need to take a ferry to this chichi private island, where you can indulge at the exquisite ocean-side restaurant even if you're not staying over.
