Two beautiful villas tucked away on an olive estate in the hills surrounding Lucca are all about relaxing in comfortable and gracious style: Warmly decorated living rooms and bedrooms (each with private bath) are full of cushy armchairs, polished antiques, and colorful art. Olive groves and the mist-hung valley stretch beyond the large windows and terraces, and gardens surround sparkling pools. The villas can be rented in their entirety, as they often are during the summer; at other times bedrooms in each are available for 2-night minimum stays, with guests sharing living areas and kitchens. Charming Flavia Bertolli Salom and her staff serve a breakfast of homemade cakes, prepare other meals on request, and go out of their way to treat their guests like visiting friends.
