The era of shared bathrooms has mostly vanished, even in budget hostales like this one, but sometimes architecture doesn’t allow a bathroom per bedroom. Persal solved the problem neatly by linking some of the bedrooms into suites sharing a single bath. Rooms within the suite are small—honestly, almost all the doubles are cramped here—but because you get two bedrooms, they’re a sensible option for families. Some bathrooms are so tiny that you’ll have to turn sideways once inside to close the door. Get claustrophobic? The largest rooms are on the fourth floor. They are also the quietest, which can be an issue on this plaza at night.
