Grandpa really gets around, as “Grandpa’s House” is found in three separate locations, all within sight of each other. The main bar is on Calle Victoria, and keeps the longest hours. The others open to accommodate overflow. Choose the original to savor the patina of age—it opened in 1906 and has been serving shrimp specialties ever since. It is good that they accept credit cards, because the bill mounts quickly. We like our gambas plainly grilled (gambas a la plancha) or grilled with garlic (gambas al ajillo), but many customers prefer the smaller plates of breaded shrimp deep-fried in olive oil. The house wine is a steal.
