One of Spain’s most celebrated chefs, Pedro Larumbe is credited with pioneering a modern, ingredient-driven take on traditional Spanish cooking. His elegant flagship restaurant, Pedro Larumbe, sits on the top floor of the ABC shopping center in Salamanca. La Terraza shares that floor, but is only open from spring to fall because all the tables are on a rooftop terrace. The skyline views are amazing—and so is the food. The lunch menu features light and breezy fare, such as a club sandwich, a chicken breast with lemon and baked potato, or a salad of white asparagus. As the day begins to cool, Larumbe serves a set menu of starter, two mid-sized plates, dessert, bread, water, and coffee. Expect imaginative dishes like duck ravioli with cassis-soaked pears.
