A grande dame among Menorca hotels, the Port Mahón has been receiving guests since the 1950s—and some of the first are still returning. Taking advantage of Menorca’s mild climate, it’s open all year. Rooms can be on the small side, and the furnishings are less grand in the guest rooms than in the lobby. The gardens are quite beautiful, and the hillside location gives sweeping views of the town and harbor. Every room or suite has at least a small private balcony with potted geraniums.
