Development of the stretch of waterfront from Plaza de General Torrijos to the 1817 Malagueta lighthouse created Málaga’s newest dining, shopping, and nightlife district in 2010 to 2012. Broad walkways line the waterfront, and glass cubes containing boutiques, bars, and restaurants stretch the entire distance. Walking along the waterfront at night provides a romantic vantage back on the lighted Moorish walls that zigzag up the hill from the city below. Right where the waterfront turns onto Muelle Uno, you’ll find a number of cruise boats. The 90-minute cruises tour the bay between the two main beaches, one east and one west of the city. Keep your eyes peeled for dolphins.
