Muelle Uno

In the early 21st century, the stretch of waterfront from Plaza de General Torrijos to the 1817 Malagueta lighthouse was redeveloped into a shopping, dining, and nightlife district where you’ll find everything from American fast food to a set-menu restaurant by one of Spain’s top chefs. Broad walkways line the wharf, and boutiques, bars, and restaurants stretch the entire distance. At night, there’s a romantic view of the lighted Moorish walls that zigzag up the hill from the city below.

Right where the waterfront turns onto Muelle Uno, you’ll find cruise boats (tel] 665-600-040) offering 60- to 90-minute tours of the bay east and west of the city. Keep your eyes peeled for dolphins. Sunset cruises are very popular. Tours cost 18€‒20€ adults, 10€‒14€ children.
