Near the crossroads at the entrance to town, The Bakery (tel. 2640-0560) serves an amazing array of fresh pastries and baked goods, along with sandwiches and pizzas. For sushi and Asian fusion, try Katana (tel. 2640-0920), north of the crossroads. Moving north, La Cevicheria (tel. 8693-1036) has ceviches using whatever fish were caught that morning with your choice of seasonings, as well as stir fries and fried shrimp or fish with patacones.
On the far northern end of Playa Santa Teresa, Drift (tel. 8496-6056) has a menu that jumps around from Indian curries and pasta to poke bowls and veggie burgers, though the highlight is their sprawling cocktail menu infused with tropical flavors. Al Chile Viola (tel. 2640-0433) is a good choice for Italian and Koji (tel. 2640-0815) is a popular sushi joint and has a Japanese chef. Further north near the Santa Teresa plaza is Chicken Joe’s Rotisserie (tel. 2640-1110), a Peruvian-style chicken shack, which also has ceviche, fish and chips, and some Peruvian dishes, as well as Burger Rancho (tel. 8743-6995), with a long list of burgers and seafood. The Somos Café (tel. 2101-3815, part surf shop and part restaurant run out of an Airstream trailer, has a menu of international comfort foods and a shady, lounge-like dining area full of picnic tables.
