Hotels in Marco Island
There are no chain hotels on Marco Island other than the large Marriott and Hilton properties along Crescent Beach on the island’s southwestern corner. Though Airbnb and Vrbo are your best bets to find vacation rentals, a local outfit, Marco Island Vacation Properties, 847N. Collier Blvd., (tel. 239/393-2121) will provide more personalized service, and be there should things go wrong.
Marco Beach Ocean Suites, 480 S. Collier Blvd. (tel. 239/393-1400) is a former full-service resort turned condo that operates as hotel, featuring 60 condos with full kitchens and patios overlooking the Gulf. There’s also a heated rooftop pool and hot tub, beach bar, seasonal Italian restaurant and fitness center. Rates start at $483.
As elsewhere in South Florida, the high season here is from mid-December to mid-April. Rates drop precipitously in the off season.
