This mid-sized hotel with Roman-themed décor feels a little dated, but the polished marble lobby tells you it’s well managed. Largish, simply decorated rooms are clean and well equipped, with firm mattresses and efficient air conditioning. Some rooms have baths for a soak after a long day at the ruins, and the buffet breakfast in the no-frills dining room offers plenty of choice. The location on a scruffy side-street isn’t beautiful, but it’s just a short walk to the historic sites and there’s easy, good value parking nearby.
