Mercado Gastronómico San Albín

If you’re visiting the Roman ruins at Casa del Mitreo, it’s worth dropping in for a drink and tapas at this gastronomic market in the curved corridor of the red-painted bullring across the road. Grab a stool at a barrel-top table surrounded by fading bullfight memorabilia and choose dishes from several kiosks along the hallway. There’s a wide range of local jamón, regional goat and sheep cheeses, and seafood from Galicia. The daily menu including roast lamb or suckling pig gets mixed reviews, but it’s cheap and substantial.
