Arlo Wynwood
Clean, modern and fun, Arlo is right in the middle of the Wynwood action—identifiable by the area-appropriate graffiti art on the side of the building, with vibey rooftop pool and happening third floor bar, Higher Ground. One of Miami’s best chefs, Brad Kilgore, opened MaryGold’s here, a restaurant as stylish (Calcatta marble bar) as it is delicious (French onion burger, OMG). Rooms are small and no-frills with bare bones Ikea-esque white oak furniture, but comfortable unless you are a business traveler and need a desk, which you won’t get in standard rooms. Suites offer separate living and dining areas. Bathrooms are TINY, but the Pharmacopia amenities, hand-held steamer (you’ll need it as the closet space is sparse), and great backlighting almost make up for the lack of space. Staff is exceedingly helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. While it is within walking distance of so many Wynwood art and dining hotspots, we do recommend you take Uber or such at night.
