JW Marriott Marquis Miami
Rooms are the typical Marriott meh here, but roomy, featuring city or bay views, and marble bathrooms. But their age is showing. The hotel makes our list because it does have some nice perks, including an off-shoot of star chef Daniel Boulud’s Boulud Sud restaurant and, on the 19th and 20th floors, a Mariano Bartolome golf school offering personal instruction, golf simulators, putting greens and pro shop. There’s also an NBA-approved full-size indoor basketball court that transforms into a tennis court in March, and outdoor heated pool. A nice spa offers the requisite scrubs, polishes and pat downs.
