The Four Seasons Hotel Miami
A definite second choice in the luxury range in this area (after the hyperluxe Mandarin Oriental), the Four Seasons has a corporate vibe, thanks in part to its location: the 70-story Four Seasons tower resembles an office building and is smack in the middle of the business district. The rooms and suites are plush but forgettable, and some could definitely use a refurb. The best are the corner suites with views facing both south and east over Biscayne Bay. There are three gorgeous pools spread out on more than two acres on the 7th floor. A shallow kids’ pool and topnotch Four Seasons kids’ program make it welcoming to families. Sometimes. Staff is moody, ranging from friendly and doting to apathetic and aloof.
