the goodtime hotel, Miami Beach, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel

Don’t be fooled by the lower-case letters in this hotel’s name—everything about it screams ALL CAPS, from its founders—style and music mogul Pharrell Williams and Miami Beach nightlife and restaurant honcho David Grutman—to its whimsical, renowned designer-to-the-stars, Ken Fulk. What doesn’t scream the aforementioned is Marriott, which runs the place, but hey, these guys are busy. At least they partnered with people who know what they’re doing: service is great. As for the name, yep, it’s appropriate. This hotel, which takes up an entire block on what was once a hub of nightlife, is party central and just a three-minute walk to the beach. Posh restaurant Queen is next door, but if that’s too bougie for you, onsite mediterranean restaurant Strawberry Moon has a big bar scene and splashy pool scene, too. It’s a vibe, as the cool kids say. Standard rooms are cute in pinks and pastels, but tiny and, in a way, meant to push you outside so you can have that good time they promise you. An outdoor workout facility and circuit training course is there for muscleheads to show off their ripped physiques, and a spa is there to soothe the soul after a night of excess. Pets are welcome for a $150 fee.
