Located across from the University of Miami and at the intersection of Coral Gables, Coconut Grove and South Miami, THesis Hotel is a cute, boutiquey hotel popular with college prospects, featuring spotless, modern rooms “designed to promote creative exploration,” they say, though that’s pushing it a bit. Service is friendly and knowledgeable. The third-floor pool is small, but nice, overlooking Coral Gables and featuring a bar and restaurant (it’s one of two on property). A complimentary shuttle service will zip you around Coral Gables every 20 minutes from 7am to 8pm, which is a great amenity. Warning: During university events prices here can spike.
