The French Riviera-inspired LMP (Le Petit Maison) comes to Brickell in all its froufrou fanfare: harlequin mirrors, fine linens, fresh flowers, zinc bar and a bossa nova soundtrack. Their Niçoise-style cuisine is a tasty trip to places where yachties dock for the summer: escargots de Bourgogne (snails with garlic butter and parsley), thinly sliced octopus with lemon and green chili dressing, warm prawns with olive oil and lemon juice—they all work nicely with a crisp glass of rose. Main courses are an extravagance, from canard a l’orange and marinated lamb cutlets with Aubergine caviar to salt baked sea bass. As for desserts, mon dieu! The French toast with spice ice cream will have you singing the praises of LPM in whatever language you speak.
