Lucali
When people around here crave NY-style pizza, they head to this Sunset Harbor neighborhood mainstay, a Brooklyn import that’s the closest Miami comes. Not a slice joint, it’s a fancy pizza place with pies crafted from hand-thrown dough. There are not many toppings you can add, but it’s hard to beat the plain with roasted garlic. The crispy dough is excellent—not classic NY, but still great. Alas, service is snippy and rushed, but if you want delicious pizza with NY flair (notice we didn’t say NY-style), Lucali is worthy of a visit.
