STK
STK once boasted it was “not your daddy’s steakhouse”. It may not be such a youngster on the meat scene anymore, but it’s still highly recommendable. It’s also still sexy in its older age, featuring a second-floor catwalk perfect for being seen. Because that’s just what you want to see when stuffing your face with meat, right? As for the food, the signature cuts of meat in small, medium, and large sizes are very good and a 6-ounce filet at $59 is practically a bargain in these parts. There’s also an excellent maple-rubbed salmon with pickled cherry tomatoes, olive dressing and piquillo broccolini for those who don’t partake in meat. Save room for dessert—particularly the bag of donuts (cinnamon sugar, dulce de leche, raspberry and chocolate). One warning (that will be a plus for some): a DJ spins Friday, Saturday and Monday nights. So if you want your steak with a side of sonic boom, this is the meatery for you. Tip: The “Night Out” menu, offered Sundays through Thursdays is a three-course dinner for two for $69/person, which isn’t bad for beef.
