Taquiza Tacos
This off-the-beaten path Mexican taquería serves up seriously good tacos and street fare thanks to their signature blue masa, stone ground daily with corn from the Midwest and hand pressed into homemade tortillas and totopos (hand-pressed blue corn masa chips, yum). There are only about a dozen tacos to choose from—try beef tongue braised in Victoria beer, charred onion and bay leaf if you are adventurous— but they are all excellent. The margaritas are too. This is one of the best bargains in the area and because of that—and the fact that the tacos are sooo good—it’s always packed.
