Hotels in Montanita

Plenty of budget hostels and funky hotels in town cater to surfers right. Most charge around $7 to $12 (£4.65-£8) per person for a bed in a simple room, usually with a shared bathroom. If you really want to save some dollars, walk around the tiny town and check out a few to see if any suit your fancy. Of the backpacker hostels, my favorites are Funky Monkey (tel. 08/2681-237; funkimonkey@hotmail.com) and Tierra Prometida (tel. 09/4575-216; hoteltierraprometida@hotmail.com). The hotels listed here are a step up from the hostels, though.
