The Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples (CMON)
Opened in 2012, this hands-on museum is best suited for toddlers and elementary school aged children. It features 17 intricately designed, child-scaled exhibits, from a working art studio and grocery store to re-creations of outer space, the Everglades, and the beach. At the heart of the exhibits is the Banyan Tree and Tree House, a soaring, two-story banyan tree with cubbies nestled in vertical prop roots, a lookout platform, and crawling branches that lead to the treehouse at the top, inspiring children’s imaginations as well as body coordination.
