The Baker Museum at Artis Naples
The first full-scale art museum in Southwest Florida, the museum formerly known as the Naples Museum of Art has an impressive 15 galleries highlighting paintings, sculptures, and drawings, with major permanent collections concentrating on both the American Modern and Ancient Chinese genres. Touring shows and exhibitions bring a welcome element of eclecticism to the museum, whose very structure, including a 90[ts]45-foot glass dome and 14-foot-high entrance gates, is a work of art. October through May, free guided tours are given at 11am and 2pm Tuesday through Saturday. Admission is free on the last Wednesday of every month from 6 to 9pm when they have live music, food, and drink.
