From the moment Puckett’s opened downtown, it’s been a success. Locals used to have to drive to Leiper’s Fork, nearly an hour outside of town, to eat at the small grocery store that dates back to the 1950s. Old-timey kitsch—think oversized black-and-white photos of fishin’ poles, weathered barns, and Granddaddy’s beloved pickup truck—pays homage to the original Puckett’s. Burgers, chicken-fried steak, and big breakfasts will please laid-back customers and little kids alike.
