How can you not love a place where the specialty house rolls have names like Blow Torched Caterpillar (eel and cucumber topped with torched avocado, eel sauce, and toasted sesame seeds), Junkanoo (shrimp tempura, pineapple, and red pepper rolled In confetti rice and served with sweet chili mayo and shrimp chips), and Sweet Guava Fire (spicy baked salmon, sweet guava, crab stick, and avocado topped with crunchy rice and sweet guava sauce)?

This harborside sushi spot with a groovy post-mod interior worthy of a trance lounge and an outdoor deck view of the cruise ships in port also offers sushi as-you-like-it, great tuna tartare, and some yummy teriyaki and other hot plates for those who don’t care for their fish raw. The food quite flavorful—even the sushi rice is infused with seasonings or citrus juices.

While the outdoor view is lovely, you might want to pick an inside table on weekend evenings, when the surrounding portside clubs and bars blast thumpa-thumpa music.
