You don’t expect to find a place that’s both this hip and this unpretentious right in the heart of Times Square, but here it is. Re-opened in 2011 in the Edison Hotel, this classic, old-time watering hole serves up a mean cocktail and decent bar food. On some nights, a live pianist adds to the ambience, softly playing hits from the days of Gershwin and Irving Berlin.
