There is no public transit, but about 80 licensed taxis serve the population. A flat rate of C$6 will take you anywhere in town, but you may have to share the ride with others. There are street names, but no one uses them; all addresses go by building number (with little logic behind the numbering), and cabbies have the buildings memorized. Pai Pa (tel. 867/979-2585) and Caribou Cabs (tel. 867/979-4444) are the two main companies.
