Cowboy Coast Saloon
A new nightclub with a country vibe (a first for Ocean City) has taken the place of an OC institution, the Party Block. During the winter of 2013, the owner of the Party Block called it quits after 35 years and the venue was transformed into the Cowboy Coast Saloon—probably the only country-themed night spot with a mechanical bull and tiki bar. Oddly enough, they mix in hip hop and house music, too. After months of renovations, Party Block fans won't know the place. Walls were removed to provide a large entertainment space with a stage for regional and country acts with plenty of room for dancing. Live entertainment is scheduled for Sunday afternoons as well as evening events with local and national country artists. There really is a mechanical bull and an occasional line dancing lesson. But this is the beach, so look for a bit of the coast with that tiki bar, as well as the Party Block's old pool bar, still in operation with cabana rental and bottle service.
