Chef James Walter was the recipient of a Chef of the Year nod from the state’s restaurant association; his menu is eclectic in a brasserie/supper-clubby kind of way. You might order terrific steak frites or a roasted lamb loin, but also great clam chowder and pasta dishes. Of course, you can get a Maine lobster in season, too, perhaps served with shaved truffles and cream. There’s also a cool cocktail lounge with a long list of creative martinis. It’s like the Rat Pack wanted a casual coastal place to kick back in.
