Food For Thought

A repurposed sail shades diners (and a tall fence shields them from Ogunquit’s busy main road) at this all-alfresco temple of summertime indulgence. Big flavors abound: Consider the grilled cheese between two halves of a honey-dipped donut, the maple-tastic fried chicken in a waffle cone, or the lobster roll topped with candied bacon. Brunch is similarly decadent, with mascarpone French toast, fried-egg poutine, and other gut busters. It’s not for dieters, nor for teetotalers, as the vast craft beer menu and super-strong brunch cocktails might suggest. The nighttime vibe is pretty festive.
