Hotels in Opatija Riviera
Rooms & Apartments
Accommodations in Opatija are expensive, especially during July and August, unless you stay in private rooms (sobes) and apartments available through private agencies. One of the most helpful agencies is Da Riva, which has an office at Marsala Tita 162 (tel. 051/272-990, 051/718-249, or 051/718-248; fax 051/272-482; www.da-riva.hr). The agency can find rooms, but you may have trouble securing one unless you book for at least 3 nights, especially during the summer. Besides rooms, Da Riva also books excursions.
Camping
There are no campgrounds within Opatija, but there are a few both north and south of the city. During peak season, camps can be crowded, but they also may be your only chance for a place to sleep.
