Dating from 1909, Draga di Lovrana is located up a steep, narrow, winding road above the coast. You can reach it by bus from Lovran: The stop is in front of the hotel and the owner provides bus schedules. There are six reasonably priced rooms, plus a luxurious suite with an open fireplace, sauna, and Jacuzzi. Most guests come here specifically to eat at the gourmet restaurant, which serves local specialties on a terrace with spectacular views. Breakfast, like dinner, is truly delicious, with freshly squeezed orange juice and omelettes cooked to order.
