As one of the only fully vegan restaurants in Central Florida, Ethos has garnered a loyal following since 2007. That’s because when vegan cuisine is all that you do (even the cheese qualifies), you have to be skilled. Among the favorites are pecan-encrusted eggplant, “Yo Mama’s Lasagna,” gyros, and 10-inch pizzas. Kelly and Laina Shockley, who are raising their kids through this place, are assiduous about ingredient sourcing and proudly pay their servers a living wage (not minimum wage). Specials change according to seasonal crops, and there’s always a soup of the day. About a third of the menu is gluten-free.
