Box Canyon Lodge and Hot Springs
While the rooms here are reliable but unremarkable, the surroundings are anything but. Take a stroll from your room up the stairs on the hillside behind the motel—it's also the southern fringe of development in Ouray—and you will encounter four redwood tubs fed by natural hot springs. (The water is also used to heat the motel in winter.) The standard rooms have one or two queen or king beds, and large suites have two queen beds and a queen-sized futon. There is also a 2-bedroom apartment with a kitchen.
