Little Pai plays host to a bevy of expatriate restaurants and bars as well as a whole range of streetside dining. For a casual, inexpensive meal, head to Talart Don Bai market off Raddamrong Road, 2pm until sundown. Hill-tribe women sell fresh produce and local snacks there, like fermented sausage, fresh-cut fruit with a sugar-and-chili dipping sauce, and noodle dishes are available. Pai’s popular Walking Street also has food stands, with kebab, roti, and noodle vendors interspersed among the souvenir stalls.
