Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens
Designed by world-renowned botanist Sir Peter Smithers, these gardens, established in 1977 by sculptor Ann Norton, boast over 250 rare palm and cycads surrounded by over 100 of Norton’s creations, including nine sculptures, eight in brick, one in granite—they make for excellent social media posts. Also here is the home, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, where Norton and her husband Ralph resided during their lifetime. In 2019, Ann, who died in 1982, was inducted into the Florida Artists Hall of Fame.
