The island of Palm Beach is the epitome of Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous (or, for our younger readers [insert Instagram influencer account here]), oozing with glitz, glamour, and the occasional scandal. Royalty and celebrities come to winter here, and there are plenty of lavishly priced options to accommodate them.
Most of the more modest places to lay your straw hat surround the island, including a number of decently priced chain motels near the airport. In West Palm Beach, chain hotels are mostly on the main arteries close to the highways and a short drive from downtown.
Doing a rental through Airbnb.com or VRBO.com can be a smart move here, as there are a number of nice options at half the price of most hotels in this area..
