Hotels in Palm Beach
The island of Palm Beach is the epitome of Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous (or, for our younger readers [insert Instagram influencer account here]), oozing with glitz, glamour, and the occasional scandal. Royalty and celebrities come to winter here, and there are plenty of lavishly priced options to accommodate them.
Most of the more modest places to lay your straw hat surround the island, including a number of decently priced chain motels near the airport. In West Palm Beach, chain hotels are mostly on the main arteries close to the highways and a short drive from downtown.
Doing a rental through Airbnb.com or VRBO.com can be a smart move here, as there are a number of nice options at half the price of most hotels in this area..

Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa
If the Breakers is too mammoth for your taste, consider this former Ritz Carlton. A lot warmer than the Four Seasons, Eau (pronounced “oh?” and French for water), located on a beautiful beach in a tiny town about 8 miles from Worth Avenue, lacks pretension and feels more like a…$$$Palm Beach - Hotel

PGA National Resort
The name gives away the focus here. With five 18-hole championship courses and one nine-hole course on more than 2,300 acres, plus Leadbetter and Pelz golf schools, and tour-level club fitting, golfers and other sports-minded travelers will find plenty to keep them occupied. The…$$Palm Beach Gardens - Hotel
Pioneer Inn
This is, unapologetically, a motel. When you look back at your time in this area five years from now, you’ll likely have no memory of what your room looked like, because it will have looked like the rooms in dozens of other motels around the U.S. But you probably will remember the…$West Palm Beach - Hotel
Pistache French Bistro
A bustling, very Gallic-looking bistro in downtown West Palm, Pistache is brunch central, especially on Saturdays for the unlimited rose brunch. The Brazilian Court Hotel
This elegant, old-world, Mediterranean-style hotel dates to the 1920s, but like many Palm Beach residents it has a youthful glow, thanks to a recent facelift. The 80 custom-designed, Spanish colonial-style rooms and suites all feature mahogany case goods and crown molding, handsome…$$$Palm Beach - Hotel
The Breakers Palm Beach
This 140-acre beachfront hotel is quintessential Palm Beach. Founded by tycoon Henry Flagler 1896 to house well heeled passengers at the last stop of his railway, it was rebuilt twice after devastating fires (in 1903 and 1926). The current Neo-Renaissance main building cost $7…$$$Palm Beach - Hotel
The Colony Hotel
Opened in 1947, the Colony was a storied hangout—hide-out, perhaps—for socialites, and celebrities for years. Presidents George Bush, Clinton, Carter, Ford plus Judy Garland, Frank Sinatra, Sofia Loren, and Lena Horne all stayed here on the DL. The Duke of and Duchess of Windsor…$$$Palm Beach
