At the western tip of the Les Halles gardens, the city’s stunning former Chamber of Commerce building (on the site of an 18th-century corn exchange) is the city’s newest contemporary art space. This museum/art gallery houses the Pinault Collection, the personal 3,000-piece contemporary art holding of billionaire François Pinault (the honorary chairman of Kering, the luxury group that owns YSL, Gucci, and Alexander McQueen). The third-floor restaurant offers sweeping views over Paris’ rooftops and St-Eustache church.
