Sinner

Celebrated Parisian designer Tristan Auer has turned a standard Parisian building on rue du Temple into a joyously rebellious hotel with daring decor inspired by medieval religious iconography and the Templar knights who once lived in the area. Its dark hallways are lit by lanterns, stained-glass windows add pops of unexpected color, and each room is a different constellation of artwork and wood furnishings. There’s even a concept store set in a dark crypt, and a spa modeled on Roman baths. A hip cocktail lounge overlooks the restaurant, which has church-style paneling, cathedral ceilings, and a street food–inspired menu.
