Hotels in Patmos
There are no hotels, only pensions in Hora, but you will find many in Skala and elsewhere around the island. Unless you plan to visit Patmos during Greek or Christian Easter or late July through August, you should not have difficulty finding a room upon arrival, though it's always safer to book ahead. Residents offering private accommodations usually meet ferries. If you're interested in renting an apartment or villa, contact the Apollon Agency (tel. 22470/31-724; fax 22470/31-819).

Blue Bay Hotel
The big draw here is the cliffside view over the bay entrance to the port; you'll get to watch the cruise ships drop anchor. Being up so high, it's absolute silence at night; sounds of nature don’t even stir the air. The hotel is just around a bluff from the town. Rooms are nothing…$$Skala - Hotel
Hotel Petra
At this luxe hideaway above a lovely bay and beach, accommodations are suites awash in comfort. In looks, they're tremendously soothing, all done in creams and whites with shiny wood floors. A sumptuous breakfast and other meals are served on a welcoming terrace. The many amenities…$$$Grikos - Hotel
Porto Scoutari
It doesn't get better than the Porto Scoutari. Each of the lovely rooms is individually (and chicly) decorated with sitting and sleeping areas and find antique furnishings. They face either the sea or the green, lush garden. A bistro, excellent spa, and beautiful pool are among the…$$Outside Skala center - Hotel
Rodon Hotel
This old-style, three-story Everyman’s hotel draws families and budget travelers. Set on a road back from the port, it’s quiet even by Patmos standards. Rooms are small and sparsely furnished but white glove clean (staff change the sheets and towels every day), and the terrace out…$Around Town - Hotel
Skala Hotel
This bougainvillea-draped hotel is just off the main road but set back through an arbor and across a central courtyard. So it's well within walking distance of whatever you'd like to see but blissfully quiet. It’s got a welcoming swimming pool, and all the rooms in the three-story…$$Around Town
