Planning a trip to Pemaquid Peninsula

Getting There

The Pemaquid Peninsula is accessible from the south and west by taking U.S. Route 1 to Damariscotta, then turning south down Route 129/130. Coming from the north or northeast, take U.S. 1 through Waldoboro, then turn south down Route 32 just south of town.

Visitor Information

The Damariscotta Region Chamber of Commerce (tel. 207/563-8340), is a good source of local information and maintains a seasonal information booth just off U.S. Route 1 during the summer months. To get there, follow Route 27 south, leaving Route 1 just east (across the bridge) after Wiscasset.
